International medical admission test

The International Medical Admissions Test (IMAT) is an entrance exam used by English courses at Italian medical universities to test suitability for medical studies. The BMAT is part of the medical program of Imperial College London, and the Imperial College course is strongly scientific in nature, with a focus on research into the human body and its effects.

The multiple-choice test, which takes place every September, is based on a combination of problem-solving skills such as problem solving, logic, reasoning.

The course usually lasts between four and six years, but some courses can be extended by up to six years, with intermediate degrees taking up related subjects.

The extra-occupational degrees are offered at several faculties and are a one-year BSc degree that gives you the opportunity to study the subject of your choice in a variety of subjects such as medicine, nursing, pharmacy, dentistry, medicine and pharmacy. By contrast, the UK requires a bachelor's degree to be admitted to medical school and a doctorate in medicine.

After successful completion of the course, you will receive an MBBS degree, which is your primary medical qualification (PMQ). Holding a PMQ entitles you to apply for a provisional registration as long as you are suitable for practice and no concerns are to be taken into account.

Some courses accept graduates from all disciplines, while others require students to study relevant subjects such as biology or chemistry. If you are not studying medicine as a first degree, you can take a four-year fast-track course. Nursing - Approved by the Nursing and Midwifery Council, this conversion course or accelerated program enables training to be completed in a short period of time, usually between two and three years.

The university's Disability Resource Centre (DRC) can provide general advice and counseling to prospective and current disabled students, including those with SPLD and long-term health problems. Please contact your College Admissions Tutor to discuss your needs and course requirements. Some universities set their own entry requirements and you can find out more about how to apply on the Medical Admission Service (MAS) website at the University of Cambridge.
